Custom jQuery application to allow registrants to assign purchased packages (such as conference pass, lunches, etc.) to attendees.
AEC Science & Technology needed a new site for its annual AECEcobuild Event in Washington, DC. In addition to maintaining their own content and managing registrations, George and Richard needed a flexible design that could be used for future events.
Too often, conference managers are forced to completely revamp their site in preparation for the next event. Therefore, prior to beginning the design for the 2010 event, Dave Waugh provided a complete audit of the previous AECEcobuild website along with other tradeshow and conference sites in order to craft a design that would grow with the needs of the event not only for this year, but for the next few years.
We used the ExpressionEngine Content Management System to control the content and design elements. Our Best Practices approach to Channel Management, Content Relationships and Asset Control for tradeshows and virtual events allowed us to implement an information architecture that will serve the client's needs for at least the next few events.
When it came time to implement a solution for registration, the Cartthrob team had recently launched its new application for e-commerce within ExpressionEngine. We were thrilled to be able to provide a single solution for the AEC-ST team. The Content Managers were able to log into the ExpressionEngine admin panel, update sessions, enter in new speakers, see how many registrations they received, create new promo codes and update pricing - all in the same application.
